Return and Refund Policy
If you are dissatisfied with an item purchased from our website, you may return it to any Solomons Cycles store (or the Webstore within 30 days) for a refund, replacement, or exchange, provided that the conditions of our Refund & Exchange policy have been satisfied.
We will exchange or refund a product provided that:
- There is valid proof of purchase, i.e., till slip.
- It is within 30 days of the original purchase date.
- It is in its original packaging or condition, i.e., the security seal or shrink wrap is intact (if applicable), the product is unworn and unused, and the online store’s price ticket is attached.
- For hygiene reasons, underwear including swimwear (excluding bras) may not be returned or exchanged.
Refunds and/or exchanges will be accepted at any Solomons Cycles store countrywide, provided that the above requirements are satisfied.
Customers do have the freedom to return items if they do not want them anymore.
If a customer wants to return an item because it is damaged, we will ask for photos first to start the process.
All refunds are processed strictly in accordance with the original sales tender type and only after confirmation that the funds were received in our bank account.
Card Payment: Refunds may take 3 to 21 working days (but usually quicker) to reflect, depending on your bank’s processing times.
Customers are responsible for the courier cost of any returns.
Customers need to have their new bicycles assembled by a recognized bike shop to avoid damage and warranty issues. We will not be responsible for improper assembly leading to damages.
Exchanges
We only exchange goods if they are defective or damaged. In circumstances where you consider that a product is defective, you should promptly contact us with details of the product and the specific defect(s).

Upon receipt of the returned product, we will fully examine it and notify you within a reasonable period of time whether you are entitled to a replacement as a result of the defect.
Exceptions
Some items are not refundable and not exchangeable. These include: tyre sealants, lubes, and products that are offered on sale. Any exceptions are at the discretion of Solomons Cycles management. T&Cs Apply.
No refunds or exchanges will be made for a product that has been misused or purposely damaged. A faulty product will, where relevant, be subject to a technical assessment by a specialist before being repaired, replaced, or refunded.
Repairs may involve a courier cost that is for the customer’s account and will be quoted upfront.
When returning a product for repair, please ensure that it is in hygienic condition.
For Online Orders
To return an item, you’ll need to send it back to us for evaluation using one of these 3 methods:
- You can use your own courier.
- Use our courier service.
- Or drop it off in-store.
If you choose to use our courier service, you’ll be responsible for the courier costs, which will be deducted from your refund amount.
Once we’ve received the returned item, we’ll evaluate it for any signs of misuse and then promptly start the refund process for you.
As part of our Fair Practices Promise, if the issue is caused by us, we’ll gladly cover the courier costs.
Important Notice: For orders that qualify for our free shipping deal (orders over R4000), if you choose to return any items, you’ll be responsible for covering the return courier costs. Free shipping applies to initial orders, but return shipping costs will be borne by the customer in all cases.
